My approach:

I'm a Certified Integral Coach by New Ventures West and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC ) by the International Coaching Federation.

  • Integral Coaching is a holistic approach and methodology that draws on cutting-edge theory, research and practice from disciplines such as neuroscience, behavioral psychology, linguistics, somatics, organizational behavior, management theory and leadership performance, systems thinking, and Eastern and Western philosophy.

  • Unlike approaches that focus solely on solving problems or achieving specific goals, Integral Coaching emphasizes the whole person - who you are, not just what you want to change. Together, we explore the bigger picture of your personal and professional life, fostering a deeper level of development.

  • Through this process, we identify core skills, capacities and awareness for you to develop. We design an individualized development plan using applied practices from science, psychology and philosophy, tailored specifically to your unique journey.

What you can expect as a client:

  • A typical coaching program is ~5 months. We meet for approximately 1 hour every ~2 weeks for a total of 10-12 sessions.

  • We'll identify topics for coaching in our first session, and I'll develop a customized coaching program based on the goals you and I set together.

  • In addition to our coaching sessions, you will have daily exercises and practices to do between the meetings, that are designed to support your development in your Coaching Program. These typically take 20 to 30 minutes per day.

  • Included in your coaching fee is text/email support between sessions and the curated materials and resources I will provide you in support of your coaching program.

How Coaching differs from Therapy or Consulting:

Many clients have questions about coaching and how it can support them, and how it might relate to other modalities they may have experience with, like therapy or consulting.

Coaching is a forward-looking, growth-oriented partnership.

  • My role is to help you think more clearly, increase your awareness, explore your possibilities, and create the changes you want to see in your work or life.

  • You set the agenda. You choose the goals. My job is to ask powerful questions, notice patterns, reflect back what I’m hearing, and help you design your own next steps.

  • I won’t tell you what to do—I help you discover what matters most to you and how you want to move forward.

Contrast this with Therapy, which I do not offer:

Therapy is designed to heal emotional wounds, treat mental health conditions, and work through trauma or significant distress.

  • Therapists are trained to diagnose, provide treatment plans, and use clinical methods to restore emotional functioning.

  • Coaching assumes you’re already functioning well and want to grow, stretch, or achieve something new.

  • If at any point it seems like therapy would be more supportive for what you’re navigating, I’ll let you know and we can talk about referrals.

Contrast this with Consulting, which I do not offer:

Consultants are subject-matter experts who analyze your situation and give you recommendations or solutions. They essentially tell you what to do.

  • Coaching is different. You are the expert on your life and your work.

  • Instead of offering advice, I help you clarify your thinking and uncover the answers that feel most authentic and sustainable for you.

  • While I do have a wealth of industry specific and role-specific experience, I will use this to help you guide your own exploration of possibilities.
